The Cleveland-Bradley County Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security is an independent department of the Bradley County Government responsible for emergency management activities in Bradley County, and the cities of Cleveland and Charleston, reporting to the Bradley County Mayor.

The mission of the Cleveland-Bradley County Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security is to plan, prepare, and respond to natural and manmade disasters by providing the highest level of emergency preparedness to the citizens of Cleveland, Charleston, and Bradley County as they face emerging threats in the 21st century. Working as interagency coordinators in partnership with local, state, federal, and private entities, we provide comprehensive emergency response in addition to hazard planning, training resources, and disaster mitigation.
Disasters and threats can strike at anytime and anywhere. Threats take many forms, whether a hurricane, tornado, flood, a fire or a hazardous spill, an act of nature, or an act of terrorism. Disasters and threats may build over days or weeks, or may occur without warning. Every year, millions of Americans face disasters and their negative impacts. Cleveland/Bradley County OEMHS is located off Shady Lane near APD 40 and 20th Street NE. Office visits are by appointment only except to authorized personnel.
